The front desk manager was absolutely amazing, so helpful and kind, made our stay even better! The price was very reasonable for a 3-star hotel, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with a fantastic shower. The breakfast was delicious and served in a charming dining room. The staff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to assist us. The bed and pillow were super comfy. The wifi was strong and steady. The hotel had a small parking lot, important for car travelers. The location was convenient, with shops and restaurants nearby. a great experience and great value for money!

Lack of Air Conditioning. They should at least invest in some electric fans. It gets very hot during warm days without the air movement. Otherwise great for tempered weather days (9 months out of the year).

I chose this hotel for attending a conference and I was very pleased with the free in-room WiFi and the availability of conference space. The WiFi connection was strong and reliable, which allowed me to easily stay connected and work efficiently during my stay.

The only thing I missed during my stay was a business center with printing facilities. It would have been convenient for me to be able to print some documents for my work.

Cosiness of the facility and friendliness of the staff. Breakgast does not start until 7:00, but I had service at 6:00 without any problems. Mind you I am not very fussy, but what they gave me to eat and drink was adequate for small breakfast.

Heating is marginal. Room was a bit too cold for me. Shower could do some repair work and have a new head. Toilet seat should be fixed. It is held by one screw.

Generally I have no bad feelings about this hotel - The biggest disadvantage was no possibility to park a car and go direct to the desk - I'm not sure where the hotel-parking was but I had to find a place to park (15 minutes) - becaue Hotel is placed at main street in Rodenkirchen - no way to stop, unload the car and put it later at paking place...

I recently stayed at Hotel Gertrudenhof for a few nights and had a great experience. The check-in was quick and easy, and despite being an older hotel, the room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The bathroom was also very clean and had excellent water pressure in the shower. The breakfast provided was delicious, and the breakfast room had a charming, classic atmosphere. I was more than satisfied with my stay and would definitely choose to stay here again in the future.

great locality, good to be able to experience life in a German suburb. So close to the Rhine and very easy access to Cologne by train. All hotel staff spoke perfect English and nothing was too much trouble. Would fully recommend.

Good location on the southside of the city next to the river Rhine with pleasant local resto's and bars that give you good food at a reasonable price (no tourist trap). A good 15 minute tramway connection bringing you to the city centre railwaystation. Better to park your car here and commute. Breakfast buffet is a pleasant experience. Friendly and helpfull personel (though limited attendance)

Unlike mentioned in the description, this isnot a family run hotel. It therefore lacks some of the familiar atmosphere. Rooms are rather basic, ventilation is limited.

We had a great experience at a budget-friendly hotel close to a vibrant high street, packed with restaurants, cafes and shops. The spacious and clean room we stayed in had a cozy bed with extra pillows, a clean bathroom with excellent water pressure on the shower, and a strong wifi connection. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast with fresh options, served in a classic, charming atmosphere. The friendly and helpful staff made our stay comfortable, and the paid parking was convenient.
